Common questions
I can't hear the beeps with my iPhone locked.
Check that Settings > Audio cues is on in Intervals, and turn up your media volume with the volume buttons. Cues play as media, so they also play when the silent switch is on. Force-quitting the app stops them, so swipe up to leave it instead.
I'm not getting notifications.
Open Intervals, go to Settings > Notification Settings and turn on Allow Notifications. Focus modes can also silence them.
Alerts don't reach my Apple Watch.
iPhone passes notifications to your Watch only while the phone is locked. Leave "Keep screen on while running" off in Intervals. Then, in the Watch app on your iPhone, go to Notifications > Intervals and pick Mirror my iPhone. Intervals doesn't have its own app on the Watch.
The Lock Screen countdown says "Open Intervals to sync".
The countdown moves to the next interval only while the app is running in the background, which depends on audio cues being on. If you've turned them off, or force-quit the app, open it again to catch up. Your timer's time stays correct either way.
Can I use my own sounds?
Yes. Go to Settings > Default sound, or open a timer and choose Sound, then pick Import Audio File. MP3, M4A and WAV all work, and short clips work best. Hold a sound to rename it.
What counts toward my log and streak?
Every finished run counts, plus runs you end early after at least a minute. "Get Ready" time isn't included. Any logged session keeps your streak going. You can edit or delete entries in the Log tab, or add one by hand with +.
Where is my data, and how do I move it to a new phone?
Your timers and log stay on your device and we never receive them. They're included when you back up your device with iCloud or a computer, so restoring that backup to a new phone brings them along.
